I’m sorry but Henderson’s reaction to the substitution was awful. It’s not soccer aid. I get it, big servant to that club but to spend that time hugging opponents when we’ve just conceded and needed a quick response was wrong. Do that at the end

Fully agree with you I’m so disillusioned with cheating players, poor standards of officials, and in Arteta to how much did he get away with, catching balls outside the technical area and throwing it to one of his players for a quick throw on. I’m glad of the break but it all starts again in a few weeks with the World Cup. But I’m sure my enthusiasm will return before next season begins.

TBH a draw at Anfield in any other circumstances is an excellent point and I wasn’t counting on getting anything out of today’s game earlier on today. We could have nicked it, and grew into the game as the minutes ticked away in the second half. I have a feeling we might well learn from the experience of getting so close this season, and push onwards and upwards next. Have a good summer all!

Well, whether you like or not, that mentality has brought the club to this position.
On the same Forest game, walking back to the train station, I could hear a Forest fan mocking a kid with a Brentford shirt, and proclaiming the greatness of his club and his owner, brave, aerial winners, etc
Would be fun to see if that **** still thinks the same now, with the final table and the empty hands for both clubs. (He probably does, but that speaks more about his IQ too)

Wasn’t to be…ultimately I feel it’s the Wolves game that cost us in the end but if you’d offered me 9th place last August I’d have taken it in a shot.
We’ve got some work to do in summer…recruitment needs to take us up a notch, we need a deeper squad, we have to improve preseason and there is some coaching to do too…our ball retention has slipped in the second half of the season.

Finally got to see us score at Anfield, hooray. Been an amazing season all things considered, now got two months wondering what to do with myself. Shame we couldn't quite squeak into Europe but we're knocking on the door and if we can add a bit of quality to the squad over the summer, who knows where we'll end up next season. Onwards and upwards, you Bees!!! 🐝🐝🐝

Been a lot of “if only” moments in the last few games but let’s not forget how kind the woodwork was to us against Wolves, West Han, Palace and today. For me we lost key midfielders at key times and at the end of the day, did well to finish where we did

I was dreading that the commentator had tempted fate when he mentioned how few goals we concede from corners. Thankfully it was when he mentioned Roger Cross was the last Bees player to score at Anfield was the fate tempting

Brave performance - scored at Anfield - fantastic finish to the game and nearly nicked it at the end. So proud of this club. That we're gutted that we didn't beat Liverpool away and qualify for Europe shows how far we've come. Top team in West London again and second only to Arsenal in the capital. Top half in 3 out of five seasons in the Premier League. Unbelievable - who'd have ever thought all that was even possible for little old Brentford? Squad stronger than ever before, great financial position, top manager, Brazil's number 9. Onwards and upwards. COYB

That isn't the clubs mentality though, it's one supporter's opinion looking back objectively. And if anyone watching that first half shambles had the balls to say after we'd lost our head coach, half the back room staff, our top two scorers, our captain and starting GK that we'd miss out on Europe by 3 goals (afaik) than they'd have been ripped to sh*t by many on here.

Because they were pissed off at selling to a rival club at an equal status to them, same as we would be at Kayode joining Fulham for £80m

Obviously not, so suck it up, we're one of the mid-table teams that may get in to Europe if all clicks, may flirt with relegation if it doesnt. This season has been more than acceptable all things considered.

Disappointing to miss out by a solitary goal or even conceding a couple of fewer goals ! Dangos miss at the end 😭 but overall happy with a 9th place finish but we weren't clinical enough at one end or strong enough at the other to make it count. With the points we dropped we could and possibly should have been finishing where Sunderland did who ironically were one of the poorest teams we beat at home

A few thoughts on today and the season in general.

I think it was one of our better performances for a few matches recently

Don't really mind the Salah ovation, he is a bit of a PL legend and one of their best of all time. Possibly went on a bit too long.

Liverpool were really poor though compared to some of the Liverpool sides we've faced.

Our free kicks from dead balls have been really bad recently too for some reason.

Henderson was a good signing but doesn't deserve a starting place and in general I feel our midfield aren't quite good enough, all solid but apart from Dams on his day, none would get into top 6 side.

Incredible season after how it started but in reality very much feels like a missed opportunity

Some more "ready to play" signings, as opposed to "ones for the future" , might be an idea over the summer.

Whilst I was desperate for us to get the winner and quality for Europe, I'm not too bothered, I worry about the strength in depth. It's the best WE'VE had for a while but so many other PL teams have it now that it feels it is getting harder and harder to compete with our small budget.

Above all, in MB we trust.

Well no one can accuse us of going out with a whimper.
That was a very good performance, any other situation and a point at Anfield is a good result, I thought it was all over once Jones put them ahead but this team is better than that and came back to equalise and really gave it a good push to get that all important winner and I'm not one of those who will criticise for missing that chance right at the death

Or, ironically one of our best home performances! Presumably talk of sacking Le Bris has stopped for now, but you never know with football. Grates a bit though that they’ve qualified with negative GD!

If a club is set up to have one main goalscorer, i dont think 8 + 7 from Schade and Dango is that bad.
Who are Evertons 2nd and 3rd top scorers, or Brightons?
