He’s got to be the tallest keeper we’ve ever had at 1.98 meters or 6’6” in old money. Looks impressive in his YouTube clips.

It's a relief to see we're looking at strengthening in this area. I was concerned we were a little light in the GK department...

Does Angelinis contract expire this summer? Can't find anything to say we've renewed. Possibly his replacement?

Presuming strakosha is sold and Cox goes out on loan again there's also a #3 slot to fill behind hakon, so maybe one of eyestone and Angelini will be our new #3 and the other will be the b Teams #1

Tamar Fernandes was taller

Excited about this. He's a future is usa #1, and has the potential to be better than Howard. We don't make good strikers, but we make good keepers. :)
True, for years it was only keepers that starred over here - Howard, Kasey Keller, the Liverpool one(!). Brilliant if he reaches those levels.

Seen a lot of this young man when living in Texas and involved in youth footie over there. Quality player with huge upsides and very driven. Bees looking at a future number ‘one’ for sure with this one.

Hopefully first of many players being signed with names based on childhood injuries.

I believe Grazeknee and Overhandlebars are also being tracked
Likewise the promising Leon Leftbakke is a target being pursued across the playground.

He always felt bigger to me but when I meet him I was 6 years old so that's probably why
Or maybe because our other keeper was Kevin Dearden who was 4 foot 11

I remember the first time I saw the Flying Pig. Think it was York away. I honestly thought he was the mascot for the day

What's his distribution like with monocular vision?

As an ageing bee with little footballing talent, I can't see the motivation for young Julian, who I guess is a freshman on a sports scholarship.I can't imagine it was for the short-term money.

Do we offer better coaching than Duke?
Does Brentford B offer a better route to a big contract?
Did he find the bright lights of TW8 irresistible?
Has he read about English cuisine in Fleet John's match reports?

Do we offer better coaching than Duke? Yes. Chance to train regularly with EPL players
Does Brentford B offer a better route to a big contract? Undoubtedly
Did he find the bright lights of TW8 irresistible? Questionable
Has he read about English cuisine in Fleet John's match reports? If that swayed him he must be out of his mind

Are you actually asking if a premiere club has better "soccer" coaching than a us university? LoL...

Friedel, Keller, Howard, Hahnemann, Guzan, Turner, I’m sure there have been others.

USA does produce goalkeepers at the top level in a way it doesn’t in other positions. I think it’s probably something to do with the fact they grow up playing a lot of hand-based sports. It’s similar in Eastern Europe where they produce a lot of top goalkeepers and they’re really into handball and basketball.

It must be a great market to buy a young goalkeeper from, thinking about it. The grassroots infrastructure is very good, they’ll get a very solid education.

If my memory serves, we had a trialist 10 year ago called Winston Boldt. He was a young American goalkeeper who had played for one of their Army soccer teams. Obviously never signed him, but always thought it would have been a very cool backstory if he’d made it.

I wonder whether he can get his college credits remotely. A Duke degree is nothing to sniff at
