He owes us an apology for the wrong tactics that are completely nullifying our play and for playing high balls, long throws and sticking to 532
It doesn’t matter what style the manager wants to play; if the team on the pitch doesn’t do the basics then it’s like pushing water uphill.

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

We’ve been at the match actually supporting the team with no WiFi or mobile coverage.

We learnt something tonight. The D&G brigade don’t even go to local aways.
I'm very much RTB, but clinging to "I'm not as negative as (x)" as the only positive really isn't very much.

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

Yeah we are, but he’s looking out of his depth.

By the way your persistent insolent comments are boring af.
You’re just knee jerking. I don’t think he’s out of his depth at all. Was he last Saturday against Chelsea? Go to bed, have some sleep, and then try posting.

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

Maybe but we have played 3 fairly ordinary teams away from home and lost each game.
I wouldn’t say Fulham are an ordinary team. Or Forest. They are both pretty much like us. But if you’re pissing yourself over just three matches then I won’t be able to convince you otherwise.

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

... you're just a sycophant 🥱
And you don’t think there’s something slightly suspicious about someone who registers on the GPG this evening and immediately tells us how good Fulham, their coach and players are?

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

I can put up with 5 at the back against the top 4 but not every week. It’s boring! We paid £40 mil for a winger yet we play narrow 2 up top

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

Kelleher looked iffy tonight, a shame as was really impressed with his performance against Villa

You might be right. But you don’t always need to add the last line and comments of that ilk. You’re a persistent offender for it. I love a joke about, but you belittle fellow fans consistently and it makes you look a ***** mate.

Problem is the other 33 games involves teams that are much better than us. And they will be pissing over your blinkered comments

... I'm bored with you...rebus...et al towing the line...have some guts eh...call it out for what it was tonight.... shambolic...we all love BFC.

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

There writes someone that has paid zero attention on how the club has been run for the past ten years.
To be fair, in the time frame you reference the club have made a similar error and corrected it swiftly.

The club does make errors from time to time, but they learn from them, we improve, and we get better. It’s the clubs that don’t (or refuse) to learn from their errors that pay the price in the long run.

Whether KA and the new coaching structure is an error in our ultimate journey to Champions League glory, who knows, time will tell. It certainly feels that way tonight though.

It will also involve teams that are much worse than us

I literally couldn’t give a sh*t. Trust me on that one.

Yes, we lost to them. It’s a terrible result but I’ve witnessed a lot of impatience from our fans tonight, in the stadium and on here. So crap like “he’s out of his depth” doesn’t sound like a sound analysis.

I’ve just seen their third goal and just look at the luck on that. 2-1 is a different game but we were second best tonight, no complaints. But I’m not going to pop the pills over just 90 minutes.

I don’t toe any f***ing line. But some sensible people have lost their f***ing minds because we lost to them and played badly.

I was there, with reasonable 5G just fyi. Plenty of dissenting voices around, I’d be shocked if you didn’t hear any. No abuse directed at KA or the players though, mainly focused on the tactics and refusal to change the setup.

It was their first error and yes they did correct it. And do. But they’ve witnessed Andrews in our environment for 12 months. There is no way they would have appointed him unless they thought he was up to it.

We’ve had a lot of upheaval this summer but tonight was all about our players not performing. Once they cross the white line his influence is diluted.

Top post. 👍
A really excellent post. Insightful and accurate. Do Fulham have better players than us? In my view, no. But they are well coached. Thay have clear attacking patterns of play, they play with width, and their attacking players have an understanding of the runs their team mates make. None of that is evident in our play at the moment. Keith is a nice guy who maintains our recent traditions. Marco Silva is an irritable, irritating whingebag of the highest order. But perhaps MB and PG should have come out of their comfort zone a little in the summer and appointed someone with a track record, and who might be a little difficult and demanding, and rock the boat a little? If you are 10th in the PL, you should have no difficulty attracting a proven manager.

We do not have a squad which should be in danger of relegation. The manger is tactically awful, before my stalker has a pop about me being a troll, my biggest observation tonight was how tactically inferior Andrews was to his counterpart & next week & the week after that could be someone different. I'm screaming out Andrews is NOT a premier league manager!!

Do you remember 2021/2022 under Thomas? Very similar ground.

Well, as I said, time will tell. But one things for sure in the Premier League, time is in very short supply.

But I could not disagree more that tonight was only about players not performing. There certainly were some crap performances, but the setup was completely wrong, he refused to change the setup/had no plan B, and we made subs way too late. Tonight is on KA.

...I know you care mate...so do we all... you're right...we were absolute pish tonight...and will probably beat Bryans lot.... football's fickle...like supporters.

Don’t like the 532 against the minnows and feel sorry for Dango. Should be 433 against this lot.

prove me wrong mr Keith
Minnows?? This was a match dominated by the side in white tonight

I would argue that when we played that system under Thomas we had an identity and looked far more likely to score and far less likely to concede.

I know we played well last week but so far - in the league at least - there has been more bad than good.

The performances against Forest and tonight were very poor, the likes of which we didn’t see in the first five games of 2021/22.

My experience too.

Andrews sort it out, was probably fair. It’s a bit of a shame that he didn’t 😜

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

We are very fragile And rather toothless.

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

Arghhh that really hurt. I say that from the perspective of once asking a black cab driver to pull over and let me out once he confessed to being a Fulham Fan. I hated that tonight. Was just so clunky to watch.

We lost on every level; fight, duals, quality, running, posession, shots, touches in dangerous areas. Jeez it was bad. To the naked eye, we started by watching. We didnt touch it for around 12 minutes. We had very litle going forward. Physcially we were second best, despite Thiago putting up a fight. Its a derby! Where was our intensity?

Im not centreing around passion and all those trad arguments, but I do feel a lot of BS is talked about systems and formations, but if you havent got that desire to beat your man, win the tackle, no mathematic formula or geometric formation can help us.

Added to that, Collins had aborration after abboration, but what are they when you really analyse it? They're split second, 'not strong enoughs' or 'got turned' or 'went thru his legs' but, with all said and done, he was at the centre of all four goals they scored including the VAR one. He's got to be desperate to block, strong enough to not get bullied. Iwobi gave him a battering tonight. VDB and Pinnock were just meh also. Kelleher doesnt look himself, flapping a punch at all and sundry. Catch it man! Take some pressure off.

I felt embarassed at the number of long throws Kayode took. He's a real talent and I dont want him stoke-ised. It had to be 15-20 of them! We were at it in minute 1!

We need 10-11 wins. Draws won't keep us up. We need to go 4-3-3 and build some rhythm and realtionships between the players quick. Its just 33 games to go. Play 5-3-2 against the top six away, sure–but we can't leave a 40m winger on the bench in a local derby for a slowing centre half. We are better than this!!!

Hickey has to play. KLP is miles off it and hasnt gone past anyone for ever. I'd be pushing MIlambo like crazy to get to the level where he can play in a midfield 3 ahead of Yarmo too. He just isnt offering enough going forward. We need to get some shots from MIdfield ffs.

Formation on paper was fine. KA was not to blame, but was rather let down by the players in the first half; man for man they were not competing well enough. Winning duels and tracking runners was just not happening consistently enough. Not sure if a fitness thing, concentration, or intensity? Just not anywhere near Fulham’s level on that. Deserved to be more that one goal down at HT.

Second half, you can maybe question why KA has not used the strong menu of options in our available squad to go 4-3-3 at any stage chasing the game. Think most would have wanted to see us go for it in that manner. All the subs being “like-for-like” felt a little unnecessarily cautious.

Just got home. Terribly disappointing from top to bottom. We gave Fulham that game, they won't get an easier win all season.

Andrews should have changed it after half time to 4-3-3 and bought on Dango and Rico. Surprised that Hickey didn't come on and Fabio sub was far too late.

Fans were class. Saw plenty of familiar faced in the home stand as well. Will done to the support. We'll need to back these boys as it's going to be a roller coaster of a season.

We need to reaction against United like we did after the Forest and Sunderland games. Coyb

You really are incredibly patronising at times - it's quite something to behold. All because someone (fan of 30+ years - not saying that buys me anything but I'm not a new fan and used to be a ST holder when we were properly sh*te) dares to express an opinion on fans forum after awful team performance 😅

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

Frustrating night.
we have good players. we know that. But my god we have so little intent going forward.
If all we do in training this week it has to be link up play between midfield & attack.
When the crowd are telling the manager what sub to bring on its not exactly a vote of confidence.
Hopefully next few games a home crowd will help us push on because we’ve been a skeleton of a side away so far.

You were digging out people for not complaining (yet) about the match. Very strange behaviour.

Er, where exactly?

If you're talking about my saying that there were fewer positive voices on here tonight, it was because some of the posters who normally sound positive are sounding much less positive after that 'performance'. I'm not digging anyone out.

Fulham 3 Brentford 1 (Damsgaard)

No denying apart from Kayode & Damsgaard we were pretty abysmal to a man tonight, also no denying Keith Andrews was tactically out thought by Silva and yes it hurts to lose in that manner to one of your local rivals however get some perspective.
In the past week we drew with one of the best teams in the Division, had a credible win in the Cup against Villa & this evenings debacle..hardly a cause for questioning MB & PG's decision to appoint him.
We lost tonight for many reasons but primarily because we defended poorly, stuck to a system

"Not many positive voices on here tonight - the usual ones noticeably absent."
