Reckon we might just wait and see how the next two months unfold, though. He'll have his chances to make a mark.

Bamford injured again. He’s a very fragile lad.

I am far from Wilder's biggest fan. But he is very experienced as a coach/manager.

The worst thing he could do for a young player in their first full season of men's football is to play him week in, week out and make him one of the most valuable players in their team. He will manage his minutes, making sure he contributes on both sides of the ball and that he also stays grounded. Wilder of all people will know about how talented he is - and he has to control that. Who is going to get the blame if Romelle gets injured from playing too much?

Also - if he keeps having a massive impact from the bench against tiring legs - why do anything different?

Played 25 mins. Assist for the equaliser. Man of the match. Disgraceful he isn’t getting more minutes.

We don't know the full story here. Clearly he has bags of skill. But we don't know what his attitude is like in training. Nor how good he is at following the manager's instructions. We all remember clearly last year questions being asked why he didn't get more minutes here.

He is the kind of player that attracts the crowd's attention, as he takes players on and goes on runs. That why he was a crowd favourite here and it looks to be the same at S.U.

Give it time. It's not even November yet. I suspect he has work to do on his self discipline and ability to adapt if he is going to make it with us. And he needs to show he can do that at a lower level consistently, if he even has a hope with us.

Definitely an interesting story to keep tabs on this season and with what happens in January.

Did he actually say "to clamour to pressure"?

What does that even mean?

My advice is, don't use big words you don't understand.
No ones perfect,we have people on here that can't even spell the word lose but they still get their point across :ROFLMAO:

I feel sorry for their fans, they have to watch Diaz, Ayew and Bamford in attack, all 3 have lost all ability to run and move at all.

Any modern manager would be playing Donovan, Chong and Cannon with Campbell coming on or rotating. How Wilder is still a coach in the championship, things can't be that bad at Utd.

The overwhelming majority of them are just working class blokes not grads with degrees in English literature so yes when they are giving press conferences;)
No problem with that, but then they shouldn't use words they don't understand. Otherwise, as with Wilder, they run the very real risk of misusing the word.

Yea but don't forget he's from Yorkshire so English is his 2nd language.

And what does "to pressure off fans" mean too??!!
Should it be "of"?

And it's got nothing to do with level of education or whether the person is a graduate or not.
Just this morning, I heard a person, almost certainly a graduate, talk about someone "abrogating powers to themselves".
It's about trying to speak/write beyond one's level of competency in the language.

Was that the PM? Just wondered.

Romelle should grasp this opportunity to show how well he can play; not just by using his fancy dribbling skills, but by his ability to read the game and defend when needed and to have a physical presence, too, which are all the attributes required for a quality footballer.

I’m looking forward to seeing him and hope he does well against a strong opposition.

It will be tough to shine playing with two statues and a headless chicken upfront with him.

Romelle Donovan (on loan to Sheffield United)

Very curious to see how he does playing more centrally as a 10. We have primarily seen him as a wide player but he may do very well playing more centrally.

Playing LW, team sheet was wrong on beeb, brilliant start by him.

Romelle Donovan (on loan to Sheffield United)

He's not playing as a 10. He's looked fooking brilliant so far.
He's been unbelievable. Dribbling players for fun. Putting in fantastic crosses. His effort really stands out, he works so hard. Star in the making.

And you're right, playing left wing mostly it seems.

Romelle Donovan (on loan to Sheffield United)

Very good first half, second half managed the game well and played safe, won free kicks and defended well when needed. Ran out of legs towards the end.

Romelle Donovan (on loan to Sheffield United)

Withdrawn on 86 mins. Sheff United 1-0 up.

His first half was 9/10. Did less in the 2nd but still a live wire and one of the best players on the pitch for them.

Wrexham's RB couldn't handle him. Romelle was fouled 6 times tonight and this was from a ref who seemed to have a high tolerance for what he deemed a foul. A touch of the Grealish treatment for him

A very impressive performance and I am now convinced we have a quality footballer.

Well done, Romelle, and I loved the way you enjoyed the adulation of the crowd.
