Yes it was a very rapid decline after the crooks were kicked out and the fans bought the club but it strengthened fans’ allegiance even more.

I believe the FA Cup win was Avram Grant but H did get Pompey into the Prem and kept them there quite a while.

Possibly pedantic but seven years in the Prem, FA cup winners and runners-up and two promotions and a period of fan ownership so far this century are hardly a steady decline.

Good word, optomistic.

This is more than football, it's about high performing organisations. Imagine what a top 6 club could achieve with leaders forging the right culture built on critical thinking, honesty/humility/understanding football! and data analysis!

Had Bees really only won one of their last ten league games v bogey team Spurs?

Could be up there with Diarra & Kanté. His concentration having been subbed bodes well!

Prediction- Arthur will be a huge player for Pompey this season.

My respect for everything Brentford goes up yet again. Well done Vitaly and Kevin!

As an eternal pessimist, I admire the squad strengthening to avoid the tired weak end of last season. Teams like Chelsea and Spurs have strengthened whereas others have Euro commitments. On paper the Bees are still punching way above their weight...

He took the Saudi money. He's taken the Chelsea money. well done Hendo on optimising his shelf-life.
