RB Leeds United - Bringing the Joy

Decent team who are finding their feet in this league...think they have a good chance of staying up this season.

Pretty much filled up by BS bingo card with that one.

It really isn't as cut and dried as you appear to confidently flesh out in your barbed but not unsurprisingly robust reply, as evidenced by LongLostBee's post (#2927) on the subject. Being called out by some on here as being overly negative is hardly indicative of anything other than push back...

The original post y'day was regarding goals from open play away from home in the PL this season...and in the other 7 games we managed to match the total we scored against West Ham. Happy to be erroneously called a Negative Nancy in pointing out this fact btw.

I included it in my original post as the outlier....and went on to discuss the other 7 away matches. Thanks for relaying my original post from y'day btw.

I'm not ignoring the West Ham game.....hence referencing it in my original post as the outlier. As you were.

I think most of the content that's been generated since Saturday's defeat was regarding our away record......and to this end I'd just like to highlight that (excluding West Ham), we have scored two goals from open play in the other 7 PL games.....Igor's header up at the SoL and Mikkel's open...

    Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Brentford

We've scored 2 solitary goals from open play on the road in the PL this season....and one of those was a gimme against Putney. I'm not sure what people were expecting against this lot, given our approach is incredibly one-dimensional away from the confines of the Gtech.

    Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Brentford

The concerning thing for me is that Spurs haven't suddenly turned a corner, they've been consistently awful for a good 2 months and every team I've seen them playing against have been able to play themselves quite easily into the game.

    Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Brentford

I don't think the wholesale swapping out of players and the formation tinkering midweek has helped in knitting together any patterns of play. You build momentum from a solid base and continuity in processes/practices......and that's something that's been missing in our approach this season.

    Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Brentford

Ajer appears to be flavour of the month with some on here, but then who would we possibly play at LB?

    Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Brentford

Totally killed any momentum within the team that we generated from the Burnley win. I don't get it at all.

    Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Brentford

I would've thought the experiment of playing a right-footed CB at LB would've be curtailed by now, given the inherent issues such a deployment creates in the build-up. Even 65 mins of Rico would've sufficed.

    Arsenal v Brentford (A) Wednesday 3rd December 19:30

It's a different Arsenal in that they'll have two newbie CBs starting and ML-S potentially playing at LB. They're in no way stronger than they were in that 1-1 draw (imo).

Out of Window Transfer Talk - Brentford Only

I wasn't being entirely serious.....though I think with the right coaching he could be a better performing PL striker. Pool move was too soon for him and he got too settled into being a rotation option with them....ship has sailed and all that.
