I winced after his first challenge saw him limp away but after that I thought he was an important part of settling us down to ensure we saw the game out. Having him able to play minutes as a defensive midfielder will help limit the minutes people like Vitaly have to play in that role.

Was really impressed with his DM cameo, be interesting to see if he gets more minutes in that role over the season. And yes, thankfully his early knock was not serious.

I think he will surely get time there. We're light if we want to play with a double pivot every game.

I'm rooting for him but do feel that he needs to step up. In the FB position he always seems to give his man a bit too much space, and then need to compensate with shirt-tug yellows. He looks set to be squad player rather than starter, but then these days we need a proper squad.

Henry certainly knows our system and style of play better than Diouf and he's quick and quite a good header of the ball for his height; probably a better 'minder' for Ajer who needs a nearby player for the ourball. That allowed Malick more free rein on the left-hand side to get his crosses in... although he clearly needs more coaching on staying calm!

I'd agree that, while we're restricted to Schuster at RCB, Hickey offers much more stability outside him than Kayode, although we lose the unpredictability of Kayode. Hopefully, it's only the Chelsea game then we've got our first choice CB pairing fit and up and running.

Agree, basically comes down to how KA wants to set us up, a valid arguement can be made for both players. I think Hickey may well start and Kayode will finish however, how the game plays out may dictate what happens and when. You can also have a similar discussion concerning several other positions/players, we are in a good place for options.

KA must absolutely love having Aaron. Can play anywhere across the back, can play in midfield all with class , aggression and pace. We need to see more of him(not sure how )

I was quite worried when he came on as he's not the quickest but we were rarely troubled back there and even the goal was only cos it took a huge deflection. We seemed much better at the back second half
