ground share

sorry if this is in the wrong place but on the other website (beesotted) ive heard a rumour that a groundshare at GP is to be announced. A mate of mine has told me that Yeading fc are going to share with us while they either improve the Warren or build a new ground

They would surely more likely share with Hayes? :fishing:

There was a hint in the programme,

My gut feeling tells me that the team might be a bit bigger than Yeading and will probably equal Brentford's gates

Fulham?

Rugby hopefully.. don't want to share with `another` football team.

In yesterday's programme, our MD says, "We are soon to announce a 3 year contract for another team utilising our ground".

When we did the same thing with the London Bronco's our pitch was abysmal, yesterdays pitch was a joy to look at and the groundmen should be congratulated on their efforts, it is in far better condition than any year I have ever seen ( and don't say its because no football has been played there this season..:D ) well done to you guys and good luck with next year..there's lots of hard work ahead!!

:D :sorted:

Chelsea reserve games has been mentioned in another thread.I assume its this as the pitch couldnt stand a third ground share.I guess they would attract 5,000 plus crowds,Reading Stiffs do

didnt Chelsea get 5,000 against the Chinese Olympic team when they played at GP

Chelski are not renewing their contract to play reserve matches at Aldershot so maybe.....................

Everything points to Chelsea.

Pre-season friendlily with their 'X1' and £250k must be coming from somewhere.

No thanks, we have a really good pitch, don't want it torn up by private school louts chasing eggs and drawing other lines on our pitch, the lineos are bewildered enough as it is in L1 and L2.
Also as the pitch is 100 metres but you need between 6 and 11 metres space at each end for the Try areas, I don't think GP is quite long enough as it would need to be minimum 104 yards long. Possible, but a bit of a squeeze.
Going by all accounts it will probably be Chelsea but I'd be interested to see the other clauses if it is them, i.e. if they get a shout on any of our best players. I'd like it to be AFC Wimbledon because they deserve it and I like them, plus they seem to regularly get 3,000+ in.

What do you mean "They deserve it" what have they done to deserve what!!!??? lol

Ground theiving up their own arse **** wits the lot of them. :) MK Dons are rapidly becoming my second team because of these ponies :nono:

Well, ok, they don't deserve it, I just have a penchant for the underdogs, especially in light of how MK Dons appeared ;) Plus they regularly get over 3,000 in, that's got to be about as good as we'll get if it isn't Chelsea money.

You're not allowed to like MK Dons, you silly bear, it's just not the done thing.

rofl Could be a deal breaker if we dont let them have one of our players! As Mcammon made it to the FA cup final, could Willock be on his way to Stamford Bridge? I would hope the clause would go the other way and give us an option on some of their youngsters on loan.
